A warm welcome to Douneside House, a unique country house of great character that lies above the village of Tarland in the Scottish Highlands, near Aberdeen.
The House is a registered club owned by The MacRobert Trust, and is situated 30 miles west of Aberdeen on Royal Deeside. It has 15 acres of magnificent gardens and grounds, designed by Lady MacRobert in the early part of the 20th century, with spectacular views over the Howe of Cromar to the Grampian Mountains.
From mid-October until the end of April (excluding Christmas,
New Year and Easter) Douneside operates as a conference
centre for businesses and other organisations. For
the remainder of the year it is a holiday country house for
serving or retired commissioned officers of the Armed Forces and
their family.
The privacy, seclusion and excellent facilities on offer at
Douneside House make it an ideal venue for your
conference. As well as conferences you can use our centre for
meetings, seminars, training and teambuilding events.
It is not just the chance to get away from the everyday distractions and pressures of the workplace that make it so attractive. It is also knowing that our exclusive use policy - we only take one conference booking at a time - and the discretion of our staff at the centre offer you a very secure environment.

As well as our 29 bedrooms (14 in the House itself, the remainder in our nearby cottages) you have full use of our venues modern leisure facilities
There is a purpose-built conference room and five more rooms for you to use. There are TV and video facilities, OHP, data and 35mm projectors, screens, whiteboards, flipcharts, a dedicated phone line and wireless internet connection.
